The Australian group have been visiting the region for the past few years and have already dropped into GS Kidd Memorial School in Gunnedah.
The multi-talented members will also be performing on Sunday at Turning Point Christian Outreach Centre in Gunnedah.
The motivational band travels all over Australia visiting schools, social events and churches to perform and address issues such as bullying, drug and alcohol use and self-esteem.
Iron and Clay play a wide variety of music including R&B, pop, electronic and gospel, and aim to give youth a message of hope during their New England tours.
Turning Point minister Neville Mammen said there was a need to give the younger generation hope for the future and try to counter problems with drugs and alcohol addiction in the community.
“I am a member of the Crime Prevention Committee Working Group with the shire council and doing what I can as a member of the community for the youth of Gunnedah,” he said.
Mr Mammen said Iron and Clay were a “real hit with youth”.
On the band’s website, the members state that they had a mission to not only entertain but also give audiences a “full taste of living life radically and responsibly”.
“We are determined to inspire and motivate the youth of this generation to make the right choices, because ‘destiny is not a matter of chance, it’s a matter of choice’,” the website reads.
