Tony Bradbery is looking for residents in town with gardens or veggie patches to adopt a bee-hive.
“It’s a win-win, they get bees and pollination,” he said.
“[We] basically get them in where there honey flow is.
“In exchange, they get a kilo of honey each time we harvest.”
Mr Bradbery said what shaped up as “a cracker of a season” turned into a difficult summer for beekeeping “because nectar flow just never started”.
“In town seems to be different, because there is always something different flowering,” he said.
