Girls from the school’s boarding school hatched a plan to raise money for the Rural Fire Service by selling orange cupcakes and treats in their honour.
Staff said the students came up with the idea as a thank you to fire fighters for their efforts during the recent bush fires which devastated areas of Western NSW.
Several of the school boarders hail from the impacted regions, including two sisters from Dunnedoo who helped to contain a fire on their property.
School mates at Calrossy took advantage of the delicious baked goods with $345 raised going to the RFS.
