Emma Clark recently opened Twice Read Tales, in Denison St, and the concept is catching on with locals in the city.
The second hand bookshop isn’t your average store.
Ms Clark also sells candles from Nimbin and is believed to be the only retailer in Tamworth to do so.
In addition to candles, Ms Clark also stocks giftware and merchandise relating to Disney, Harry Potter, Tolkien and much more.
“I am the only seller of the Nimbin candles in the Tamworth region, so you won't find them anywhere else in town, and they are made using old hand-made methods and without any toxins in their wax,” she said.
“I also source books for my customers, for example I had a young girl message me the other night asking if I had a book she had been searching for quite a few years to find it and I was able to locate it within minutes.
“I also trade in books, so if you have a stack of books at home you are willing to part with, you are able to bring them in and I will offer you a store credit to be used on other second hand books.”
Ms Clark believes her business offering is new to the Tamworth market, and invited locals to check it out.
“I feel that I offer something here that other businesses in Tamworth do not,” she said.
Twice Read Tales is open between 8.30am and 5.30pm, Tuesday to Friday and from 9am until 1pm on Saturdays, at 84 Denison street.
