Motorists are advised to exercise caution and allow additional travel time.

6.35am: The New England Highway is closed between Bendemeer and Uralla due to an earlier truck fire.
Motorists are being diverted via Walcha using Thunderbolts Way and the Oxley Highway.
This diversion is suitable for all vehicles but will add approximately 40 minutes additional travel time.
The highway is expected to be closed for some-time due to the extensive clean-up operation required.
Emergency services and traffic crews are on site.
