TAMWORTH pharmacies are doing their part to ensure local hearts are kept healthy and happy.

It’s RedFeb Heart Research Month and local Discount Drug Stores are urging Australians to make their heart health a priority.

Pharmacists are urging residents to proactively check and monitor thier blood pressure to ensure potential heart conditions are manageable early.

Discount Drug Stores are offering free blood pressure monitoring services so Australians can receive a quick and convenient blood pressure reading.

Pharmacists can also provide a graphed map of results for the patient to take to their doctor to help continually monitor their blood pressure. In Australia it is reported for every nine minutes, one person is suffering from a heart attack.
