Talented and sincere, Kaylan Lyons brings a faithful commitment to his genre of folk music with a warm voice and a compelling ability to tell a story through his music which has impressed many in the industry.
Lyons has been honing his guitar fingers and his vocal cords under the encouragement of local blues legend Buddy Knox, and was recently featured on the Peel St stage during the 2017 Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Lyons will make his debut as a pro at the Nemingha Tavern on Saturday, February 18 and is supported by the popular Buddy and Goori Knox duo in a concert not to miss.
The evening kicks off at 7pm and a highlight of the young musician’s repertoire will be one of his favourite songs, Paul Kelly’s How to make Gravy as a treat for Kelly’s fans.
When he’s not strapped to his fender acoustic, Lyons is a senior student at Peel High School where he enjoys football and basketball.
He says the most important thing to him is his family and his favourite motto is “can’t before can.”
While he aspires to attend university, his big dream is to be a professional musician. Among his favourite musicians are John Mayer, Paul Kelly, Bob Dylan, Ed Sheeran, Busby Marou and Troy Cassar-Daley.
