Hosted by the Northern Tablelands North West Local Land Service and Regional Development Australia Northern Inland, senior land services officer Glen Uebergang said the group enjoyed the mixed farming update.
Experienced agronomist Lester McCormick spoke on maximising livestock and plant production, while Meat and Livestock Australia’s Jen Peart gave the livestock market update. Lindsay Bell from the CSIRO spoke on dual purpose crops, and the perfomance of crop sequences in Northern NSW.
NSW DPI’s Suzanne Boschma spoke on tropical and temperate legumes in the North West, and Regional Development Australia’s Gary Fry on school based trainees and skilled migration options.
Attendees visited Myall Creek Station for further talks, where owners Bob and Duncan McGregor gave an overview of their operation.
