Pipped by Ash Smith in the previous race some seven days earlier, Spokes produced a smart display to secure the A-grade victory from Mick Sherwood with Smith coming in third.
In B-grade, Rob Carlyon beat home Chuck Taylor by about a bike length, with 15m back to Joe Kelly in third.
Rob Wright added spice to the race when he had a go at an early breakaway, but was unable to sustain that advantage until the finish and was caught by the peloton.
First out on the circuit was C-grade with a few regulars and some newcomers making up a good field of riders.
In a close race, Mal Nash certainly kept the sprinters honest and make them earn their placings.
The event came down to a sprint with Mick Wearne taking the win, while Peter Nash just managed to take second on the line.
Min McDonald came a close third in her first ever crit race after finally taking the plunge.
The Criterium series continues on Sunday.
