Recently-appointed NSW Coalition leaders, Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Deputy Premier John Barilaro, left Barwon MP Kevin Humphries and Cootamundra MP Katrina Hodgkinson out of their cabinet shake-up.
Ms Hodgkinson was dumped as parliamentary secretaries the day after they crossed the floor by then Nationals leader Troy Grant, with only finding out via a media release.
Clarence MP Chris Gulaptis was stripped of his of North Coast parliamentary secretary role after also crossing the floor, but he was reappointed as Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Planning.
Mr Barilaro toppled Mr Grant in a leadership spill after the party’s poor performance in the Orange by-election, a seat that was nearly lost despite being Nationals stronghold for 69 years. Many attributed the Nationals support of the greyhound ban as the leading factor in the 34 per cent swing against the party.
*This story originally stated Chris Gulaptis had not been appointed a role in the cabinet reshuffle. That was incorrect.
