While Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall also scored a ministerial role under the recently-sworn in new cabinet, Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson missed out.
Mr Anderson shut down suggestions he was disappointed to be overlooked, vowing to continue to represent the region. Mr Anderson said he was committed to delivering the Gunnedah Overpass, Manilla Road upgrade and the Oxley Highway upgrades.
“I also look forward to discussing other projects I would like to see funded in our region including the intermodal freight centre in Tamworth,” he said. “I am excited to broaden my Parliamentary Secretary role to transport. This will allow me to take on a greater role in our state passenger services especially those within rural NSW that link to city services across rail, coach and more.”
