MCGRATH Foundation president Glenn McGrath was unsure whether Tamworth was in line for a breast care nurse in the near future.

The foundation recently announced seven additional nurses would join the service in 2017.
But he was unsure whether one would be headed to Tamworth.
“I think just recently, a breast care nurse was put on here, it’s not one of ours, but they still do incredible work,” he said.
“The fact that they’ve just put a nurse on probably means there’s not one in the near future, but if the need arises then we’d be looking at Tamworth and have one here.
“We’re looking to double our numbers in the next five to six years, so it’s a big goal we’ve set ourselves, but fingers-crossed.” Mr McGrath said he has seen firsthand the benefit of the nursing service.
“If we can make life a little bit better for someone going through breast cancer, then we’ve done our job,” he said.
