Impressive youngster Tori Forsyth had the mellowed crowd in silent rapture with her original songs and homespun lyrics.
Star Maker finalist Andrew Swift (no relation) said he was proud to represent the Americana genre in the grand final the night before.
He played a set of four songs, including his “nice break-up song” Sound the Alarm.
Two band members of Small Town Romance, including Slim Dusty’s grandson Jim Arneman, also appeared in the concert in Bicentennial (Toyota) Park.
