Captain Steve Smith is the hot favourite for the top gong, although the battle for the some of the other awards does not look quite as clearcut.
In particular, the Test player of the year award where Bendemeer export Josh Hazlewood cannot be overlooked.
During the voting period, Hazlewood claimed 48 wickets at 25.10 in 11 Tests, with his consistency a feature.
He claimed nine wickets against New Zealand, seven against Sri Lanka, 17 against South Africa and 15 against Pakistan.
That haul is ranked only second to Mitchell Starc (52 wickets at 24.29), 24 of which came during a stellar three-Test series against Sri Lanka.
Smith appears the only batting candidate for the Test award, having scored 1162 runs at 68.35, highlighted by four centuries.
It will be interesting to see how Hazlewood polls in the One-Day International award after taking 28 wickets at 24.96 in 17 matches.
