The Longyard will once again be the place to be during Festival with every space, including the laneway pop up bar teaming with country music.
The venue hosts the ever popular Bush Poets Breakfast each and every morning onwards. The Bushwackers are back again with four huge shows on Saturday 21 January, Thursday 26 January, Saturday, January 28 and their infamous Chardonnay Show on the final Sunday of the Festival from 4 pm.
They are celebrating 46 years in the business in 2017.
Also at The Longyard are Busby Marou with Harry Hookey, Sara Storer, The Wolverines, Sunny Cowgirls, The Pigs, and the Viper Creek Band are sure to entertain fans and first-timers alike. In addition fans will get to experience a huge array of free performances daily on The Longyard Deck including: The Hillbilly Goats, Hurricane Fall, Germein Sisters, Mick Lindsay, Splashpool, Jade Holland and Golden Guitar Award finalists The Weeping Willows with Small Town Romance.
New to the program this year is busking in Quart Pot Lane, with in excess of 100 busking spots being filled by artists young and old, with some potential Star Makers and fabulous songwriters in the mix no doubt.
The Pub offers a fantastic line-up of free gigs in 2017.
Bill Chambers will again present his daily sessions from 12pm Monday January 23 through to Friday, January 27. The XXXX Gold Pickers Night will again play host to plenty of the big names on Tuesday, January 24.
Other names to watch throughout the 10 days include The Somedays, Whistle Dixie, Cruisin Deuces and Whiskey Business.
When it comes to ticketed shows, The Pub will host Shane Nicholson performing his one and only Tamworth show on Wednesday 25 January 2017, Catherine Britt on Thursday 26 January 2017 and Kevin Bennett & The Flood on Sunday 29 January 2017.
Southgate Inn offers 40 totally free shows again in 2017 with a variety of both returning artists and some new faces too. Add Southgate Songwriters shows, Andy Baylor’s Cajun Combo, Eric Grothe & the Gurus, Jody Direen, Trainwreck Trio and Ryan Morris to your schedule to check out.
An exciting new addition to The Pub Group and the Festival is Moonshiners Honky Tonk Bar located right next to The Family Hotel on Bridge Street.
It’s a Nashville inspired country music bar & the venue not only promises a magnificent experience, but also a great line-up of artists and some amazing whiskey-based cocktails. Festival goers are encouraged to head over and check out this new venue.
Wal Neilsen, Homgrown, Emily Joy, Bush Happy Band and Kayla Dwyer are among the free entertainment in the lounge area at The Family Hotel, and our ticketed shows include Finn Maccool, Mike McClellan, Warren H Williams & Dani Young, Remembering Reg Lindsay and Kirsty Lee Akers.
