The event, which has now become a regular feature on the first weekend of the festival.
In the audience were Brian Heywood and Dawn Moore who are visiting Australia from the UK, where they play in a country band.
After seeing one day of the festival when they were visiting two years ago, this year they planned a trip to take in the entire week of country music.
Brian was on hand when 8 Ball Aitken took to the stage and discovered he was short a guitar pick. The visitor grabbed one from his pocket and handed it to the Queensland artist.
Other acts included Allison Forbes, Doug Bruce, Marie Hodson, Aleyce Simmonds and Kirsty Lee Akers.
It was a special treat for fans when Seleen McAlister brought award-winning songwriter Allan Caswell to the microphone where they sang his best-known hit, On The Inside.
