The Northern Inland cricketting landscape lights up this weekend as Tamworth, Armidale, Moree, Narrabri and Gunnedah fight it out to be crowned Northern Inland Twenty20 champions.

The first round of games were played on Friday night with Narrabri hosting Moree, Tamworth (2) taking on Armidale (1) in Armidale and the Tamworth 1s heading out to Gunnedah. Gunnedah will then be centre stage on Saturday with games to be played concurrently at Kitchener Park and Wolsely Oval before the final under lights at Kitchener at 8pm.
Lara Graham, Jess Davidson and Dahlia Glennie’s ACT/NSW Country side meanwhile made it three from three at the National Female U15 Championships in Canberra with an eight-wicket win over Vic Metro. After restricting the Victorians to 5-59, they chased the runs down in 16 overs with Davidson hitting 22.
