CSNSW Commissioner Peter Severin and a host of other administrators took the opportunity to take it one step further and experience what it is like to serve on the front line, with the Commisioner spending the day working at the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre at Silverwater.
“Corrections Day is an opportunity to recognise the valuable contribution of frontline staff, who supervise offenders and keep our community safe,” Mr Severin said. Our officer’s efforts mostly go unnoticed because it is behind the walls of prison or the doors of community corrections offices.”
