A massive storm ripped through Mudgee on Wednesday afternoon, damaging property and pulling down trees and powerlines around the town.

Tiles were ripped off the Catholic Church and there were also reports of roofs being taken off houses.
Wind gusts of up to 130 kilometres per hour were recorded by the Bureau of Meterology in town at 4pm.
A severe storm warning was issued for the area earlier on Wednesday afternoon said to bring heavy rain and damaging winds.
Police responded to a large number of calls around the central business district, wider township and out towards Ulan.
Streets including Lawson and Mortimer were closed while trees were cleared.
The State Emergency Service, Mid-Western Regional Council and Essential Energy were also understood to kept busy by calls for help.
