The Tamworth and District Liquor Accord has been working closely with local police to ensure the 45th annual festival is a good one, and a safe one too.
Accord chairman Nick Weir said licensed venues were ready for a busy festival.
“It’s a great time of the year and the city of Tamworth is opening its doors and we want everyone to come and have a good time,” he told The Leader.
“Please do so respectfully and safely.”
He said venues had been busy preparing for the event with many seasoned operators offering their assistance to the fresh faces in the local industry about what to expect.
The local accord executive said the industry would also be expecting the annual visits from Liquor and Gaming authorities and licensing officials to ensure venues are complying with alcohol and gambling service laws.
