An alarm sounded at the sporting complex in Gipps St about 3 o’clock on Monday.
Council and police arrived to find the defibrillator, valued at $3500, missing.
Investigators are appealing for help to find the machine which was also targeted in October, last year.
“Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or knows the whereabouts of the machine is urged to come forward,” Tamworth police said.
