He has embraced the Australian country music industry, musical theatre and television with equal aplomb.
From humble beginnings by the ‘Bidgee river in his beloved hometown of Wagga Wagga, to selling out the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall with Peace Train, Coggan has forged a unique and diverse career worthy of reflection and celebration.
“I’ve been truly blessed in my career to have had the opportunity to experience many varied aspects of the entertainment industry," Coggan said.
" I have worked with and learned from the best in Australia and I can’t wait to reminisce a little and share my personal journey with our audiences on this tour as well as introduce some songs from my new album."
Coggan will perform at the Tamworth Capitol Theatre on Saturday, January 21, and says the trip is more than just history.
"This show is more than a nostalgic trip down memory lane for me, it is a chance to say thank you to my audience, family and friends, who have supported me over these past 20 years on this incredible ride,” he said.
Showcasing songs from his award winning albums Hometown, Balancing Act, War Stories as well as highlights from the various musicals he has starred in (including Grease, Happy Days, Shout and of course a selection of songs from his hugely successful show Peace Train A Tribute to Cat Stevens), Coggan’s The ‘Bidgee to the Big Smoke, promises to be an entertaining journey along the road less travelled.
