Batting first Colts amassed 200 thanks largely to 55 from Will Fletcher.

His knock included six fours and a six.

He received valuable assistance along the way from Brad Dade (26), Jacob Sherrin (23), Stu Halliday (21) and Rob Blomfield (15).

Best of the Swamp bowlers were Liam Brennan, Craig Lord and Luke Wellings, who all collected a brace of wickets while openers Lee Harrison, Lachie Fletcher and Ben Cross all claimed a wicket each.

In reply Swamp were in the game at 8-174 with three overs remaining but fell 21 runs short in the end.

Allrounder Lachie Fletcher top scored with 31 runs, closely followed by Wellings with 30.

Lord (24), Steve Eveleigh (15), Jamie Wall (15no), Cross (13) and Troy Yarnold (21) also all made contributions.

Sherrin lead the way with the ball for Colts with 3-27 while Nathan Cant chimed in with 2-16, Cameron Little 2-26 and man of the match Will Fletcher 2-30.

At the Park, Rugby League got the job done against Kentucky in a game that lasted less than 40 overs.

Kentucky battled first and were all out for 76 in just under 20 overs.

Andrew McGuffog was their top-scorer with 13 batting at number 10. 

Number nine Michael Aspinall was the next best on 12 while Greg Buckland and Adrian Walsh both hit 10 and were the only other players to reach double figures.

Man of the match Chris Watts and Luke Brennan were the destroyers, Watts claiming 4-7 and opener Brennan 3-10. Peter Mooney and Aaron Olsen both also grabbed a wicket each.

League passed the total in 17 overs with Watts and Brennan again the stars. Watts was unbeaten on 29 while Brennan hit 22.

The wicket-takers for Kentucky were Sam Abraham (2-20), Xavier Walsh (1-14) and Beau Abraham (1-15).

This Saturday League take on Colts at John Oxley while Swamp do battle with Uralla at the Park.
