Seventeen local juniors have been selected to participate in the Australian Junior Country Basketball Cup in Albury and Country Development Tour in Newcastle.
The Newcastle tournament will run from January 8-11 and see Shanti Kennedy and Olivia Whitemore playing for the 15s girls, Brodie Blackett-Greg and Izack Fuller the 17/18 boys, and Brianna Zwolsman the 17/18 girls.
Outside of the games, the players will also have the opportunity to train with special guest coaches and attend lectures by guest presenters.
Following on from that, the annual ACJBC will be held from January 14-21, and involve more than 700 players, coaches and officials.
Among those taking part will be Marley Pitt (14 girls), Sienna Kennedy, Ruby Murphy (16 girls); Josie Chick, Jess Watt, Miah O’Sullivan (18 girls); Nathan Clark, Ryan Bath, Ben Pearce (16 boys), and Nathaniel McGrath, Matt Gambrill and Riley Murphy (18 boys).
