Ballerini spilled all of the details about the romantic proposal by Evans on her Instagram account.
"This morning, 9 months and 13 days later, he got down on one knee in the kitchen while I was burning pancakes and asked me to marry him," she wrote next to a photo of the newly-engaged duo hugging.
The photo received more than 80,000 likes on Instagram.
Ballerini also managed to show off her brand new diamond sparkler in the photo.
Ballerini, 23, has 649,000 followers on Instagram.
Born in Tennessee, she signed to a record label at age 19. Her first single, Love Me Like You Mean It, reached No 1 on the Billboard country music charts in July 2015.
She is nominated for Best New Artist for the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Ballerini completed her first headlining tour in December, covering 10 dates beginning in Houston and ending in Las Vegas.
She has released four singles so far from her debut album, The First Time. Besides Love Me Like You Mean It, she has released Dibs, Peter Pan and recently Yeah Boy.
Ballerini has songwriting credits on all 12 songs on her debut album. The attractive blonde with a versatile voice could follow in the footsteps of Taylor Swift, and easily cross into the pop music scene.
Evans, 30, from Mount Hutton, has been living in Nashville on and off in recent years, writing music and working in the country music industry.
In 2015 Evans won the Country Music Association award for Global Country Artist of the Year and took home the Country Music Channel’s OzMale Artist of the Year for the second time.
Ballerini and Evans met in Australia in March when they were co-hosts at the CMC Music Awards in Brisbane.
Evans was a music prodigy from a young age, eventually crossing from rock’n’roll to country, then giving it all away before he came back to music.
