The North West branch have capped off another big year of chipping in for the rugby league community by handing out five Chrisco hampers to local families that are doing it tough at the moment, while another family were given some food vouchers for a Christmas boost.
President Kevin Robinson said that the hampers and vouchers will serve as a pick-me-up for some families that might be a bit down at this time of year.
It is just to give them a helping hand and show that we are thinking about them

“We will distribute them to families that we have found out are doing it a bit tough,” Robinson said.
“It is just to give them a helping hand and show that we are thinking about them.”
The organisation, now in it’s fourteenth year of operation, do wonders in the community, raising over $30 000 locally this year that has all been re-distributed back to wherever it is needed.
The MoL never hand out cash payments, instead choosing to give food vouchers or chip in for bills and necessary expenses, with Chrisco coming on board over the last few years for Christmas.
