One new officer will join the ranks in New England while Barwon will be home to four new probationary constables after attesting in front of the Minister for Police Troy Grant and NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione on Friday.
“These new officers have worked hard to get to where they are and Monday is the next chapter in their policing careers,” New England Acting Inspector Matt Crotty said.
“Policing is both a challenging but rewarding profession and these recruits will spend a year under supervision of experienced officers as they build on-the-job experience.
“They will continue their online studies as part of this to complete their Associate Diploma of Policing Practice.”
The five officers are part of a 10-strong contingent who have headed this side of the Great Dividing Range to join the Western Region zone.
