A thunderstorm that hit late Thursday afternoon brought with it a spectacular show of lightning, 50mm of rain and strong winds.
It came three days after a freak storm hit the city, with 44mm of rain, large hailstones and winds of 96km/h belting the region, damaging homes, downing power lines and cutting traffic.
While we might get some respite from summer storms for at least the next week, more rain is on the way.
A possible shower is forecast for Sunday, with more rain predicted through to Thursday.
Recent rainfall has kept dams full, with Chaffey Dam at 99.3 per cent capacity and Lake Keepit at 98 per cent.
