ANDREW Bell was by far the most successful trainer at Saturday’s greyhound race meet in Gunnedah as he had four winners while eight trainers had one win each.

The first race took place at 7.15pm after the Gunnedah Greyhound Racing Club decided to stage the event later than usual due to the hot weather.
Bell’s four winners were Current Climate, Flatlined, Bullbar Barbie and Sketchy Amber.
The other winning dogs were Vip (trained by Paul Roderick), Black Over Red (Allan Syphers), Breaking Day (Ivan Scott), Stevie’s Turbo (Mark Craig), Gabby Brann (Tony Atkins), Fly Little Wing (Dale Tolmie), Evie’s Best (William Marmara) and Super Kadani (Jamie Bush).
Black Over Red (race two), Bullbar Barbie (race six), Sketchy Amber (race 10), Evie’s Best (race 11) and Super Kadani (race 12) were the favourites which came first, with Black Over Red having a huge margin of 10.75 lengths.
The biggest surprise was Fly Little Wing which won race nine after having a starting price (SP) of $13.
