Tatts also picked up a win, albeit a scratchy one, scrambling to chase Civeo’s modest 110 with two wickets to spare.
“It was very scratchy,” skipper Jake Packer said, adding that there was “some terrible shots in the top order”.
Mick Sargent was the shining light with 22, and at 8-79 Packer was thinking a good bowling performance might evolve to nothing. But Daniel Kahl (39) dug them out of trouble and with support from Ryan O’Neil (7no), steered them home.
“DK batted well. He applied himself early and dug in, and towards the end reaped the benefits,” Packer said.
“A couple of the lower order guys stuck around with him, which was good.”
Mark Page (4-38) and Nick Smart (3-24) did the damage with the ball for Civeo after Lachlan Cameron (31) and Mick Smart (29) had formed the backbone of their innings.
O’Neil (4-26) and Brock Schwager (4-15) led the charge for Tatts, who were a bit sluggish in the first 15 overs.
“We had a chat a drinks to tighten it up and we did that,” Packer said.
The next 15 overs they only conceded 29 runs and picked up seven wickets.
Crossroads in contrast set it up with the ball early.
“After 15 they (RSL) were only 60 and they were 134 at 30,” skipper Luke Meppem said.
They made 7-248 in the end with opener Jake Brayshaw hitting 74 and Andrew Irvine 45, the two combining for a 98 run second wicket partnership before Neil Brayshaw made an unbeaten 47.
Jock Small was the pick of the Crossroads bowlers with 3-39. Cornish also chimed in with a wicket after cracking 126 to anchor Crossroads to 271.
It followed an unbeaten 80 two weeks ago and included 14 fours and three sixes. He was also content to, when the field was back, knock around the ones and twos, Meppem said.
Tim Hayne (34) and Shane Smith (24) were the next best as Dan O’Connor claimed 4-48 and Neil Brayshaw 3-38.
