On Monday, December 12, Tamworth Regional Council will host the affected residents at Ray Walsh House to discuss the future of the $1.2 million works.
Staff held a workshop with councillors on Wednesday where the White St residents feedback was considered.
The roadworks which were slated to commence before Christmas included replacing and shifting an old water main, new guttering, road resurfacing and reducing the width of the street by seven metres, between Marius and Napier Sts.
Residents hit out at the council plans claiming the removal of the old, brick gutters and narrowing the street would take away from the heritage aspect of the area.
46 East Tamworth residents turned out for a meeting with council staff over a week ago, where they emphasised their desire to keep their street how it is.
