The intensive swimming concluded on Friday. All children showed terrific improvement. Throughout the week many volunteers assisted. Your support is truly appreciated and I thank you for your time. On Thursday the candidates for the 2017 Captains will deliver their speeches in front of the entire school. All students in year 5 will be delivering a speech which is a clear indication of the depth of leadership potential we have in the school. The K-2 students have been very busy practicing for the annual Christmas Concert, performed for the senior citizens at the Club. This is a wonderful tradition providing an opportunity for the children to mix with and perform in front of the broader community. On Friday we will host our last Prep session. The 2017 Kindergarten students will join us for an entire day from 9am through to 3pm. The Prep children are already fitting in very well and are very settled.

Everyone is invited to join us for our Presentation Day followed by morning tea on Wednesday 30th November, commencing at 9.30am. Don’t forget the Year 6 Graduation and Disco will take place on Thursday the 15th of December. All students, siblings and their parents are invited to join us for dinner and the Year 6 Presentation. Everyone is welcome to dress up for the occasion. The evening will commence with dinner at 5.30pm, followed by the Year 6 Presentation and then the disco. Grandparents of Year 6 students are warmly invited to attend. Our Year 5 students who are running for a 2017 school leader position will present their speeches at a special assembly on Monday 28th November at 9.00am. Everyone is welcome. As the year is coming to an end, I have been reflecting on the achievements of each individual Carroll PS student. To say I am proud of them and their successes is an understatement. I am thoroughly looking forward to working with each and every one of them next year, along with our new 2017 Kinders – Aria, Brandi-Lynn, Amberle, Natalie and Oscar. I’m also looking forward to hearing from Courtney, Amarnia and Lindsey about their high school adventures.

The day was in aide of the yr6 end of year fundraiser to purchase their farewell gift to the school. All the kids had an amazingly crazy day. They raised $110 towards their total.
