The arcade and bowling mecca has added beers and burgers to its resume, expanding into the old Italian restaurant next door.

Level Up manager Blake Miller said he, along with his father and Level Up owner Shaun Miller, saw an opportunity to offer something different. They’ve been preparing the restaurant for about six months and hope it will be open by Christmas.

“We do get a lot of people coming in, asking if we sell food,” Mr Miller said.

“We took the kitchen out because we weren’t selling enough. But with this right on the corner, people can come straight out of the cinemas to have a bite to eat.

“The chef started last Wednesday, getting the kitchen and the menu ready.”

The restaurant, which will seat about 50 to 60 people, has a bar and a raised stage with speakers.

“We’re planning on doing some live music every now and again – we might possible have a few shows during the Country Music Festival,” Mr Miller said.
