With only two rounds to go until the December 12 grand final the top two spots could go to any of them, with Old Boys going down to City a fortnight ago before bouncing back to beat North Tamworth this week to have the three all jostling for top spot.
Next Monday Norths will take on City in a big clash, while Old Boys take on the Cal Crocs and Wests meet Souths.
The short form girls game will recieve another boost this weekend as well when the Northern Inland Sixers Girls Cricket League kicks off at Cameron Park in Inverell.
Six sides from all over the district will get together to play two games each over three Sundays, with Narrabri next in line on Febuary 5, before Tamworth hosts the final day on March 5.
The league is for girls aged 12-17 with a modified pitch length, and convener Peter Graham encourages any interested girls to turn up on the day for a game, with first games starting at 9am and going right through into the afternoon.
