The six race meet will feature the White Ribbon Cup and will aim to bring awareness to the cause and encourage men to speak out and protect women.
"It is one of our few charity days we have and it is a very worthy cause to bring awareness to domestic violence against women,” Armidale Jockey Club’s secretary manager Jim Dedes said.
"The Armidale White Ribbon foundation have been doing this for the last four or five years.”
Dedes is hoping the community get behind the race day.
"Hopefully the sun will be shining, the sky will be blue and we do end up with a good crowd over here to support the day,” he said.
This year, a social media campaign has started for men to stand up against violence.
The New England White Ribbon Champions group will be there on race day passing out information and asking men to sign up.
"I think they are going to be donation boxes, white ribbons for purchase and volunteers going around handing out vouchers,” Dedes said.
While the day will be focused on the charity, there will still be plenty of excitement on the track.
"Once again they are coming from all over the place, Texas, Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Tamworth, Gunnedah so a good array of trainers,” Dedes said.
"The crowd goes pretty wild when the Guyra people win a race,” Dedes said.
