First up was the Australian National Club Championships where the Level 5 team placed fifth overall and just missed out on the medals on bars, and the Level 6 team were eighth overall and fifth on bars.
Following that the club were crowned NSW Country Champion club for the womens division, and second overall club at the NSW Country Championships.
The latter was a huge achievement, coach Jan McGinnity said.
“The club only had women competing and were up against clubs competing in rhythmic, mens, acro, trampolining as well as womens,” she said.
Several gymnasts were also named overall champions in their respective divisions. Maise Wilde and Amber Downes were placed first in Level 5, Paige Seaton first in Level 6 and Julia Hannaford first in Level 10. Josie Douglas was meanwhile second in Level 6, Abbey McGrath third in Level 5 and Georgia Pryer third in Level 8, while the Level 3 girls all earned a gold medal for their performances.
The Level 5 team of McGrath, Wilde, Tori Monaghan, Downes, Annalise Tighe and Sapphire Kuczer and the Level 6 team of Seaton, Douglas, Lexi May and Jemma Baker both also placed first in their respective team events .
The Level 4 team comprising Aaliyah Morley, Erin Allan, Jorja McCluand, Kelsey Dietrich, Sophie Weekes and Sophie Walker were also in the medals placing second as did the Level 7 to 10 team of Pryer, Hannaford and Caitlin Ham. Hannaford was the outstanding gymnast of the meet winning the trophy for the highest scoring gymnast on Level 6-10 for the second consecutive year.
Most recently the club hosted the Level 1 to 4 Team Challenge, where the Level 1 team of Jemma Carr, Emily Tobin, Sarah Byrne, Chloe McGuire, Evie Thornton and Chloe McCluand all picking up gold medals and placing first in the teams event.
The Level 2 team – Macie Thornton, Harriet Wilde, Alyssa Downey and Lilian Crichton – placed second overall just ahead of the second team of Lexi Monaghan, Imogen McGrath, Megan Carr and Phoebe Jarrett. Wilde, Downey, Crichton, Monaghan and Carr also won overall gold medals and Thornton and Jarrett silver.
The home club dominated the Level 3 event with the team of Piper Swalwell, Chloe Bateup, Jessica Litchfield, Lily Godley and Gabi Siddons placing first and the combination of Raelea Hayward, Sidney Turner, Ella Dowden, Mia Robinson and Dani Cameron second. Individually, Swalwell, Bateup, Litchfield, Godley, Hayward and Turner all picked up gold medals and Siddons, Dowden, Robinson and Cameron silvers.
