Friday nights are set to light up again in Tamworth next week as players dust off their reverse hooks, sweeps and ramps as the annual T20 competition kicks off.

Tonight will see the draft take place at West Leagues Club as nominate players get selected in teams, with a new venture joining this season.
Sportspower will join Tamworth Plaster Works (TPW), Steggles, and major sponsors McDonalds for the four team competition, with games played simultaneously at Riverside 1 and 2 on Friday nights for seven weeks, kicking off at 5pm.
Adam Jones will captain TPW, with Ben Middlebrook taking Steggles, Dave Mudaliar with McDonalds and Brendan Rixon taking Sportspower.
TDCA president Middlebrook said that there has once again been good interest in the competition with over 70 names going into the captain’s pick snake draft.
“It’s a good little competition with plenty of interest,” Middlebrook said.
“There will be coloured uniforms, 15 players per side and hopefully it will run well again.”
There will be BBQs and refereshments available for spectators at the games.
