Macleod has held various positions in rugby league over the past 15 years, including work as an administrator, team manager and assistant coach of several representative teams.
Country Rugby League CEO Terry Quinn believes Macleod’s appointment will be an invaluable asset to the region, focusing on improving the administration and operations of clubs, as well as working closely with the communities of the region to strengthen their engagement with the game.
“(Macleod) will be primarily focused on the Group 19 Region to begin with and will extend his reach as the year progresses,” Quinn said.
Macleod said the Greater Northern Region had a long and proud association with rugby league.
“I’m looking forward to getting out there amongst the communities and getting to know the people involved in our great game throughout the North-West,” he said.
