The Tamworth Hotel was put on the market by the Rumble family earlier this year and was sold last week for $3,905,000, according to Realcommercial.com.au.
It’s the first time the Marius St hotel has traded hands since it was established in 1936.
The sale occurred on October 13 and it’s believed the official transaction will be completed at the end of November.
The details surrounding the new owners are still unknown.
The Hotel was placed on the market offering a freehold, licensed vacant possession, seven poker machines, an upstairs residence as well as nine rooms across a 3219-square-metre block in the CBD.
LJ Hooker declined to comment on the sale on Thursday and The Tamworth Hotel did not respond to calls from The Leader.
The Imperial Hotel, just down the road, was also placed on the market in June.
