Kootingal Moonbi swimmers excelled last week at the NSW Achievers Meet held at the Sydney Olypmic Park in Homebush, kicking off the summer season with a bang.

New England and North West sent 25 swimmers down to Sydney for the meet which included five Kootingal swimmers.
“The kids have trained hard all winter and were rewarded with achieving some amazing personal bests,” Kootingal co-coach Graham Johnstone said.
Competing in the 12yrs girls, Tijana Coxhead claimed bronze medal in 50m butterfly, was eighth in the breaststroke, ninth in freestyle and 11th in the backstroke.
Training commenced on Monday and continues Wednesday and Friday, with Mini Squad starting at 4:30pm, and A, B and C squads starting at 5pm. Any new members 7yrs or under will receive free membership for the season.
