ONE of Tamworth’s largest school fetes proved a hit yet again as thousand converged on the grounds of St John’s Anglican Church on Saturday.

Plants, food, drinks, books, live music, bric-a-brac, second-hand furniture and collectibles were up for grabs during the morning.
The fete also featured a teddy bear hospital, balloons, pony rides and a jumping castle for the kids.
Students from the city’s medical school volunteered their time to assist with the teddy bear hospital on the day.
Reverend Daniel Morris estimated thousands attended the fete, which acts as the major fundraiser for the church every year.
He said the success of the fete came down to a varied selection of stalls and the great sense of community the church promotes.
“It raises money for the functioning of the church and maintenance of the building, as well as the ministry it provides,” Rev Morris said.
