The recent drop in overnight temperatures has resulted in a slow start to the swimming season for Tamworth Olympic Pool.
Since opening at the start of last week, the average number of swimmers through the turnstiles between 5.30am-12noon has been five per day, with many opting to take the plunge at Scully Pool where water temperatures are a warmer 25 degrees.
TRC will temporarily alter opening hours at the pool until the water temperature warms up.
The swimming club already made the decision to move their training to Scully Pool until the water temperature naturally improves.
For three weeks as of Monday, Tamworth Olympic Pool will be open from noon to 6.30pm Monday to Thursday, 10am to 6.30pm Friday, and 9am to 6.30pm Saturday and Sunday. Scully Pool remains open as usual.
