Chef Rongy Sayabath of Buk Choy Thai Lao Eatery was this week one of many planning the taste plates of cuisine from their country of origin they’d be offering at the event.
Food brings people together, and thousands of people are expected to follow their tastebuds to the event in Peel St on Saturday from 4pm to 8.30pm.
The Tamworth CBD will be simmering with the delicious smells of cuisine from across the world during the multicultural celebration – but of course there’s so much more on offer than just food.
Local residents will also showcase the art, craft, culture, dance, language, song and traditional dress of their birthplaces.
Mr Sayabath and family will be offering south-east Asian entrees such as rice paper spring rolls and sweet chili dipping sauce - full of fresh ingredients and packed with flavour.
“It’s a great weekend for the different multicultural aspects, and good to give back to the town,” he said.
