Invitation to meet at the ‘Buffet of Broken Promises’

The entire NSW State Cabinet, including Premier Barry O’Farrell, will be in Tamworth on November 5.

This is the same cabinet that has broken its promises to protect productive farmland and sensitive environments from coal and gas mining. The same cabinet that has broken its promises to protect our precious underground water resources from contamination.

The same cabinet that hasabandoned communities in rural NSW in favour of big coal and gas companies.

Now the community has the opportunity to tell the cabinet loud and clear – “We won’t stop fighting for our land and water”.

Unite outside the cabinet meeting at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre at 9.30am on Monday, November 5. Join us at the “Buffet of Broken Promises” to demand that the NSW government goes back to the drawing board with its failed Strategic Regional Land Use plans.

Bring placards, hay bales, utes and as many friends and family as you can muster. Children are

welcome too.

There will be speakers, balloons and cupcakes – bring along morning tea and join the “Buffet of Broken Promises”.

Then join us in attending the public forum at 12.15pm to tell the cabinet directly how we feel about mines destroying our farmland and water resources.

Register to attend the Public Forum by emailing commmunitycabinet@dpc.nsw.gov.au

We look forward to seeing you there.
