Around a dozen of Wally Warner’s troupe will compete across the two championships, the first of which will be the All Schools.
They get underway on Thursday and will see over 1600 secondary school athletes from the government, Catholic and independent school systems take to Sydney Olympic Park over four days.
Among those competing in those is Peel’s Tayla Parker.
She qualified by finishing second in the 16-19yrs girls 800m para at last months State CHS Championships.
Sam Ellicott will meanwhile represent Combined Catholic Colleges in the 400m and 200m.
Warner is tipping good things from the 16-year old, who won gold in the 400m and silver in the 200m at the CCC carnival.
Georgia Simm was another to excel at her state titles placing third in the 12yrs girls 800m, and will now compete at the NSW PSSA Championships next Wednesday and Thursday.
“They’ve done very well this year,” Warner said of his talented and dedicated young runners.
“They’ve brought home 13 gold, 10 silver and three bronze medals this year so far. It’s a pretty good group I’ve got.”
