Courthouse Coffee co-owner Chrissy Rologas snapped a picture with the famous gladiator when he stopped in for breakfast on Monday.
The actor also added his signature to coffee shop’s wall-of-fame.
“We’ve got lots of signatures… we’ve got former premier Barry O’Farrell, Barnaby Joyce, Bryan Brown, Rachel Ward, Alan Jones... and now Russell Crowe,” she said. “He was very nice, he had breakfast here with his two sons and some friends.”

The Australian movie star is also supporting Armidale saddler and friend, John Burton, who is about to embark on a 54-day motorbike ride around Australia to raise money for the Without a Ribbon Foundation.
Mr Crowe donated his own State of Origin jersey and signed a pair of Greg Inglis’ football boots to raise money for the cause.
Townsville resident Charlie Crossley will join Mr Burton on the 18,400km trek.
“There will be challenges but none so great as those faced on a daily basis by the people we are trying to support,” he said.
