Officers say the youth came to their attention when they tried to stop a Mitsubishi Pajero on Edward St, Moree about 1pm which they allege was stolen.
When the driver allegedly did not stop they launched a pursuit through the town before it was terminated a short time later on Balo St.
Police later identified the youth and found him hiding in a house near Chester St soon after.
He was taken to Moree police station where he was charged offences dating back to mid September including possession of stolen goods, using a stolen vehicle engaged in a pursuit, fraudulent use of credit cards, theft of property and possession of prohibited drugs.
He was refused bail to appear in Moree Children’s Court at a later date.
On Friday, Moree police said inquiries into the pursuit are continuing and urge anyone with information to come forward by contacting Moree Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
