Grab some bargains at St Edward’s fete

SPRINGTIME and fetes go together like scones and jam, but St Edward’s Primary School is doing something a little different tomorrow.

The school is running a twilight fete to celebrate the end of another working week and raise much-needed funds for the school.

P&F committee secretary Sue Maher said Friday at twilight was chosen because many people had sporting commitments on the weekend and the fete was a chance for people to grab dinner on the way home.

The Hillvue Rd campus will host the event, with a bumper crowd expected to browse the 40 stalls and grab more than a few bargains while they’re at it. From ink art tattoos, sand wizards, pet rocks and a tombola stall, there will be something for everyone, including meat trays to win at the chocolate wheel.

Kids will get a chance to show off their ball skills in the football-throwing competition and have a go at the juggling balls.

For children who love the Nintendo Wii and want to challenge themselves against others, Sonic’s Fast Lap is the place to be, with the three fastest laps winning prizes.

Parents, you haven’t been forgotten, with Devonshire teas and cakes, and steak sandwiches available on the barbecue.

Celebrate the start of the weekend, grab your dinner from the barbecue and support a Tamworth school, with St Edward’s the place to be between 4pm-7pm tomorrow.
