For the first time ever the daughters of some of the industry’s biggest names will perform at a special show at the 2017 Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Anne Kirkpatrick, Tania Kernaghan and Ami Williamson will perform at the The Family Hotel on Australia Day.
All well respected as artists, they come together as singers and songwriters in their own right. Clearly inheriting talent through their bloodline, this concert experience not only provides insight into their unique upbringing with candid stories and recollections but also allows these three women to pay respect to their country music heritage and showcase their own respected material.
Kirkpatrick is a multi award winning artist in her own right and knows the business better than most, having watched, seen and toured with her father Australian legend Slim Dusty, but you can’t forget her mother, Joy McKean’s roots either, also a golden guitar winner.
The Kernaghan name is a staple in Australia and Tania Kernaghan has had her fair share of success from her father Ray and brother Lee.
While Williamson follows in the footsteps of her father, Australian icon John Williamson.
Organisers say the three women together not only provide a great musical journey including special duets but also never heard before stories, laugh out loud moments and musical moments from their years growing up in country music families.
Tickets to the special festival showcase are $39.95 and are available from www.oztix.com.au.
