There was a mood for change.

Cr Tickle started her third term on Tamworth Regional Council by being elevated ahead of the incumbent deputy, Russell Webb.
The newly-elected deputy said she “saw an opportunity” and a “mood for change” in the council and was honoured and privileged to take up the post.
Cr Tickle said there was no reason TRC would not continue to be a cohesive unit. “I’ve been on council for eight years now, and in that time we’ve seen [the] changing of positions and senior staff,” she said.
Cr Tickle already has big plans for her next term on council, including a push for a university campus in Tamworth.
“I will continue to be an advocate for additional tertiary education for the Tamworth region including a university campus, which I feel would be beneficial to the growth of the region,” Cr Tickle said.
“I also believe in a strong vocational education training sector too.”
Cr Tickle said adding to university facilities already in the region would help to keep and attract students to the region.
